Acceptable Use Policy — Watchwork AI
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to clients of Watchwork AI (Watchwork) when using services, configurations, and systems we help set up or care for. It forms Schedule A to the Client Services Agreement when incorporated by reference or attached.
1. Purpose
Watchwork configures AI, automation, PA-style workflows, messaging, and related telephony in your accounts (Client Systems). You own those accounts, log in with your details, and take responsibility for how they are used. This AUP sets clear boundaries so the systems are used lawfully and fairly, and so commercial risk sits with the party that controls day-to-day use — you.
2. Allowed use
You may use configured systems for legitimate business purposes consistent with your Scope Document, including:
- internal productivity and workflow automation
- customer communication that complies with spam, privacy, and consumer laws
- call handling on your number where callers are treated lawfully and transparently (including any recording/transcription notices your law requires)
- AI-assisted drafting, scheduling, and task support with appropriate human oversight
- CRM, email, and diary automations you have authorised
3. Prohibited use
You must not use the services or configured systems to:
- Break the law — including fraud, spam, harassment, unlawful surveillance/recording, or intellectual property infringement.
- Mislead people — including presenting automated messages or calls as a specific human when that would deceive in context, or fabricating credentials/reviews.
- Abuse messaging or telephony — bulk unsolicited communications in breach of Australian law (including the Spam Act where it applies); unlawful call practices; using your number or mailboxes for scams or phishing.
- Misuse personal information — process personal information without a lawful basis or required notices/consents; ignore access/correction obligations that sit with your business.
- High-risk domains without safeguards — rely solely on AI for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or similarly high-stakes decisions without qualified human review.
- Skip required human review — enable or continue unsupervised auto-send / auto-action flows for high-stakes content without accepting that risk as yours under the Client Services Agreement.
- Security abuse — attempt unauthorised access, bypass controls, share admin access carelessly, or leave API keys exposed.
- Harm Watchwork or others — introduce malware, attack systems, or use configurations to attack third parties.
- Breach vendor terms in a way that creates legal exposure — e.g. systematically violating AI platform provider or telephony provider acceptable-use rules in a manner that foreseeably implicates Watchwork.
- Shift vendor or content liability to Watchwork — treat Watchwork as the publisher, telco, or AI provider for content sent from your accounts or numbers.
4. Your content, credentials, and instructions
You are solely responsible for:
- content, prompts, contact lists, scripts, and instructions you supply;
- outbound emails, calls, SMS, and messages from Client Systems;
- decisions on AI drafts and approval of sends;
- password, 2FA/MFA, and credential security;
- vendor bills and compliance with vendor terms;
- industry-specific compliance for your business.
Watchwork may pause or refuse work that we reasonably believe breaches this AUP or applicable law.
5. AI outputs and third-party tools
AI outputs can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate. You must review outputs before relying on them for important business or customer-facing actions. Watchwork’s care does not mean a continuous real-time guarantee of every automated action.
Third-party AI, telephony, email, and CRM providers may change policies, ban accounts, charge overages, or suffer outages. Those risks sit with you as the account holder under your vendor contracts. See the Client Services Agreement (third-party providers and liability clauses).
6. Enforcement
If you breach this AUP, we may:
- ask you to correct the issue promptly;
- suspend ongoing care until resolved;
- terminate the Client Services Agreement for cause where the breach is material or creates serious legal risk.
Suspension or ending of care does not give Watchwork a kill switch over your owned accounts (see Client Services Agreement). You remain responsible for your vendor accounts and for disabling or correcting configurations in those accounts if needed.
7. Updates
We may update this AUP by written notice or by issuing a revised version with the Client Services Agreement. Material changes for active retainers will be notified in a reasonable way.
